Video Interview of Michael Moore link

I just finished watching an MSNBC video of Michael Moore interviewing him for his latest documentary, "Capitalism: A Love Story". During the interview he brought up a couple of good points that I agree would make our system of democracy less corrupt.

Point #1: "Money out of politics". Publicly financed elections. Further Moore points out that this system is already in place in the majority of democratic governments in the world. In our current form of the election process, we allow money to influence and control the process which points out is a bastardization of democracy!

Point #2: There should be also that excludes politicians from working as lobbyist in the area they worked in. There was an article that said that lobbyist spending increased to 3.3 Billion this year. That's a lot of politicians being bought up by special interest groups!

I feel very strongly about this issue because we're seeing the utter failure of our economic and political system due to a corrupt and weak government. I believe in our last presidential elections, the people want a change for a better. Hopefully our current administration will be able to effect those changes.

Another 80's video

I was hanging out on the website of one of my favorite counter-strike clan servers and I found one of my buddies posted a youtube video. Of course, when I saw it I had to watch it all the way thru.

So funny cause just like the last couple videos, it totally reminds of me 1988-1989. Oh the memories...

Congratulations... You are a Windows® 7 Launch Party host!!

Wohoo! I received confirmation that I am an official Windows 7 Launch Party host. What this means is that I will be hosting a windows 7 launch party in my area. A select few of my friends and guests will help me celebrate Microsoft's Windows 7 Launch in October! This is gonna be a blast.

P.S. I've been a beta user of the evaluative version of Windows 7 since last summer. Its probably the best OS from Microsoft since WinME or Windows XP.

JPP Thoughts

This past week, I've been listening to some of my favorite mp3's as well as DVD movie collections. I usually listen to my MP3's when I'm doing my photo editing. The DVDs I use when I'm on the bike machine. One of the movies I was watching was "Something About Mary". Like the movie 17 that I saw recently, it reminded of the 80's. The music, the comedy and the actors really played their parts. And, of course, Cameron Diaz has always been one of my favorite actresses since I first saw her in "The Mask" with Jim Carey. There's one word that I think sums up Cameron Diaz in this movie with is "sweet".

Well at the end of the movie there's music video that is played by all the people in the movie. Its so catchy I wanted to post it on my blog for those of you who also want to take a stroll down the 80's/90's memory lane. Enjoy...!

Apologies for the long delay in updating my blog. Since I last posted, I've been busy dealing with some computer problems, photo editing and watching another birthday go by. I'm mostly caught up. Here's one of the photos I was working, hope you like it.
